Cookie policy

The short version

This site writes no cookies and does not follow you around. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no social button phoning home. As you move between pages your browser talks only to our own server.

There is one exception, and it does not start on its own: the booking calendar on the Book page. Until you load it yourself, no external service is contacted.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a site asks the browser to keep, and which the browser sends back with every later request. It can identify a session, remember a preference or — this is the worrying one — reconstruct what you have done over time.

Technical cookies, the ones a feature cannot work without, do not need your consent. Every other kind does, and must stay switched off until you give it.

What is not here

We do not use Google Analytics or any other statistics system. We do not use Meta, Google Ads or other advertising pixels. We do not embed videos, interactive maps or social network widgets.

The site’s typefaces are downloaded once when the site is built and then served from our own domain: opening a page does not make your browser contact Google’s servers, which is what happens on most sites using the same typefaces.

The one exception: the booking calendar

Rooms are booked through Amenitiz, the system that holds availability and prices. Its calendar is content living on their servers, not ours, and on the Book page you will find it switched off with a button in its place.

When you load it, your IP address and browser information reach Amenitiz, and one cookie is written. That is the table below — measured, not copied from a generic list.

The button gives you two paths: load it just for this visit, leaving no record of the choice, or load it always. If you choose “always”, the preference stays on your device and we stop asking.

Continuing the booking inside the calendar takes you into Amenitiz’s own system, which from that point on handles your data under their own policy.

Your choice, where it goes

Your choice about the calendar is not a cookie: it is an entry in the browser’s local storage, which stays on your device and is never sent along with requests. It is called “rhea:consent” and expires after six months, at which point we ask again.

The same holds for a refusal: if you say no, we do not ask again on every page. To change your mind before the six months are up, clear this site’s data from your browser settings.

Server logs

The site is hosted by Vercel, which like any server records the requests it receives: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type. These are not cookies and are not there to recognise you: they keep the site standing and make abuse visible.
